Monday 1st June
A very good morning to you all Class One. I hope you've all had a wonderful half term and managed to relax in some way. Today I will be back at school with some of your Year 1 friends which I'm very much looking forward too. Please remember our home learning has been posted onto the website as normal, along with all the resources you will need. The challenge for this week is to tidy your bedroom. I wonder how quickly you can tidy it? Do you use any music to help you?
I do hope the beautiful sunshine will continue this week as it has been gorgeous hasn't it? Mrs Greening and I love seeing all the pictures of you busy learning, so please continue to send them through.
Have a wonderful day Class 1. Remember if you have any questions or would like to speak to myself or Mrs Greening, please contact the office.

Tuesday 2nd June
Hello Class One.
I hope you all managed to have a good start to the week yesterday. We had a very busy day at school and will be using the home learning packs a little more today. For the Year 1 children, I have added a website below which is linked to our writing for this week. It shows a Youtube clip of 'How To Draw A Dragon'. Maybe you could use this to help you draw your own dragon. We will be using in class this week as it looks good fun.

It has been so lovely to receive such wonderful home learning pictures already this week so please keep them coming in. I know from speaking to the children at school that they have also enjoyed seeing their friends on our website too. For those children that aren't in school yet, we miss you all very much and really can't wait to see you back here in Class 1. Have a wonderful day today and enjoy the sunshine if you can as I think the weather may be cooling off at the end of the week.
Take care and keep safe.

Wednesday 3rd June
Good morning Class One.
I hope you all had an enjoyable day yesterday. I can't believe we have reached Wednesday already. This week seems to be flying by doesn't it! I wonder if any of you managed to complete your own dragon picture yet? If so, it would be great if you could send a picture to the office as I would love to see them. I posted a video on the website yesterday, revealing the two winners of our writing competition back in March. If you haven't seen it already then please check it out.
I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday and remember if there is anything you need help with, please just ask.
Take care and keep safe.

Thursday 4th June
oops everyone! I was in school today very early and completely forgot to load up my daily letter. However, Mrs Ellis and I have been calling around and it has been lovely talking to so many of you and finding out how hard you are working and keeping positive!
Today in school Woody has been hard at TT rockstar s and I hear lots of you year 2s are doing the same at home. Please keep it up! Also I hear you are all reading often and daily. If there is one thing you do everyday this is it.
So this week I have asked my children to help with two jobs a day around the house. SO guess what , I thought you might do the same and send us a picture if you can or write about it.
All the best - missing you Mrs Greening
Friday 5th June
Morning Class 1. I hope you are all well. Thank you for your pictures, as always, we love to see what you are up to and I know you are all missing your friends so it must be nice to share your experiences.
Today I was reading with children from your class and I could really see the progress they had made with their reading regularly, please keep it up, this skill will help you with all areas of your learning.
This afternoon we arranged some art activities, squiggles with one line, making fortune tellers (see Woody’s pictures and finally Miss Tosney organised a plant craft activity where you could make anything. If you look below you will see Molly Plummer – year 4 – made a super elephant with just leaves and Florence made a crown. As the weathers turned cooler, I thought you might like a go trying something crafty today after your home learning. Perhaps, see what vegetation you can find around your house and can you turn it into an animal or an object? We would love to see your pictures if you want to share them.
Have a lovely day – thank you for all the lovely messages – we do appreciate it as we really, really, really, really miss our whole class.
