May Half Term
Hello class 3,
I hope you have had a good week of home learning.
This week is May half term so there is no new learning. Take this time to enjoy yourselves with your family and rest ready for week 8.
I think I may do some baking and spend time with Mickey (my Pony), in between completing work. I am also hoping to explore my local woods when I go out for a walk.
I hope you are all ok. I am always thinking of you and wondering what you are getting up to.
Keep your eyes peeled for more Stig of the Dump.
Miss Tosney x
We will keep adding other bits and pieces that we think you might like to explore.
You should be able to complete these activities independently but don't panic if something is a little bit tricky. You can always leave it and either come back to it after a sleep, discuss it with an adult or move on to another task. Failing that, there are plenty of other bits to keep you busy further down on the page (see below).
Hi Class 3,
As Miss Tosney mentioned in her message above, I am now on my Maternity Leave and I am very excited to be welcoming our little bundle of joy to the world some time very soon. I promise to get in touch with you all as soon as he/she arrives as I know how eager most of you are to see him/her and find out whether your gender predictions were correct.
I am so proud of each and every one of you. You have worked so hard over the last couple of months. It has been lovely speaking to some of you on the phone whilst we have been away from school and the photos/pieces of work that you have been sending through have made my days. Please keep sending us updates via Mrs Raine (email@example.com) as I will still be receiving these and we will continue to add them to your class page.
In case I don't get chance to say this to you all in the next few weeks, I just wanted to say it has been an absolute pleasure teaching you all over the past two years (Year 6s) and the past year (Year 5s). You are all absolutely fabulous!
I will miss teaching you for the remainder of this school year however, I wish you all the very best. Keep trying your best, stay positive and keep smiling those beautiful smiles.
I look forward to seeing you all very soon.
Missing you all,
Miss Eaves x
P.S. I hope you all have a lovely May half term. I will be thinking of you all.
Online Reading Resources
Welcome to Class 3
I hope you all had an enjoyable but also restful half term.
During term 4, our topic will be:
(Please see our class newsletter for more information.)
Our Christian value for this term is: Forgiveness.
As Class 3 are the oldest children at Empingham, they have the responsibility of ensuring that they demonstrate the Learn to Learn behaviours (the 6 Rs) all of the time so that they become role models for the younger children (see more about these on our 'Curriculum' page).
Our R for this term is Reflection - how can you be a reflective learner?
Can you earn yourself a Terrific Ticket?
Please could everyone in Class 3 spend a little bit of time each day: reading for pleasure (it would be great if parents/carers are able to share this time with them), practicing those everyday spellings and practicing times tables as well as those everyday spellings we always use :)
If you find yourself wondering what to do, why not grab yourself a book/magazine/newspaper/cookery book, find a quiet, comfy spot and enjoy some reading for pleasure.
